What is Integrative Nutritional Counseling (INC)?
INC is designed to give you diet guidelines and information about your heart health and diabetes in a way that make sense to you. INC integrates Chinese medicinal foods principles and Western biomedical nutrition principles so you can manage your health. All INC guides use an integrative, holistic approach to nutritional counseling.

How were the guides developed?
All materials were developed with a team of Western biomedical doctors, nurses, nutritionists, diabetes and heart specialists, and Chinese medicine experts. Downloadable versions of our heart and diabetes nutritional guides can be found on the Home page.

What is the INC logo?
Thanks for asking, it’s a bitter melon slice! We chose a bitter melon as our logo because it is really healthy from both a western nutrition standpoint and a Chinese medicinal foods standpoint. Chinese people have known about bitter melon for many years. It is just becoming popular as a healthy food in the U.S. It seemed like the perfect food to represent our Integrative Nutritional Counseling program.
